Privacy Policy — OotdCast

OotdCast is a weather-based AI style assistant. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. We keep data to a minimum and you are anonymous by default.

Who we are

What we collect

• Anonymous account ID. On first launch we create an anonymous account (a random identifier). It is not linked to your name or email unless you choose "Save account" (Sign in with Apple), which links your existing data to your Apple ID so it survives reinstalls.
• Style preferences. Gender presentation, style direction, color palette, comfort priority, and any optional profile details you set. Used only to personalize the looks we generate.
• Location & cities. With your permission, your device location is used to fetch weather for "My Location". Cities you add (name and coordinates) are stored so we can show their weather. You can deny location and add cities manually.
• Weather data for your locations (from Apple WeatherKit / OpenWeatherMap).
• AI-generated outfit images. See "Shared image pool" below.
• Shopping activity. Search terms derived from the generated outfit, and anonymous counts of taps on shopping links ("source the fit"). We do not know who tapped — only that a tap happened.
• Purchases. Subscriptions and credit packs are processed by Apple and reconciled via RevenueCat. We store your plan tier and credit balance against your anonymous ID. We never receive your card details.

We do not collect contacts, photos, browsing history, or advertising IDs, and we do not sell your data or show third-party ads.

Shared image pool ("used content")

To keep the service affordable, generated outfit images are stored in a shared pool and reused across users. An image is matched by day, weather bracket, occasion, city, gender presentation, and style. This means:

• An image you generate may later be shown to other users whose weather and preferences match.
• An image shown to you may have been generated for another user with matching criteria.

Images depict AI-generated outfits on AI-generated models. They are not photos of real, identifiable people and are not tied to your identity.
